Tags

Tags are free markers on artifacts, for example “customer meeting March”, “clarify with purchasing” or “variant 2029”. Unlike attributes, they do not have to be configured beforehand: a new tag is created when first used and is then available throughout the project.

Rule of thumb: whatever matters in the specification, in reviews or metrics (status, priority, ASIL) belongs in an attribute. Tags are for day-to-day work.

Setting tags

• Individually: on the artifact page in the Tags area, enter several terms separated by commas and save. The capitalisation of existing tags is kept.
• For many artifacts: in the table view, select rows and choose Add tag at the bottom.

Using tags

• In the document view, tags appear as round badges in the row.
• The table view filters by one or more tags and shows them as a column.
• Tags are part of baselines: comparing two states also shows changed tags.
