In this section, we document the continuous development of the Engineering Toolbox Requirements Manager (ETRM). Here you will find information about new features, optimizations, and bug fixes.

  • Filter in Network Editor: Requirements in the network editor can now be toggled on and off individually to improve clarity and focus for the user.
  • Group filter in the project list: You can now select specific groups in the project list to display only their associated projects.

  • Parent-Child Search: When entering a requirement ID preceded by a hashtag (e.g., "#25") into the search mask, the requirement list now displays the specific requirement along with all its associated child elements.

  • Row Count in Requirement List: You can now choose to display 10, 20, or 30 rows per page in the requirement list.
  • Full Structure in Requirement List: A new toggle below the list allows you to switch between viewing only active branches (with requirements) or the entire project structure.
  • Add Requirements Directly within Structure: Structure elements in the requirement list now feature buttons to add new requirements directly to that specific level.
  • Archive Pagination: The project archive view now includes pagination, displaying 10 projects per page.

Improvements:

  • Snapshot Print View: The layout of the snapshot print view has been improved (fixed overlapping elements).
  • Last Modified Date for Requirements: Snapshots now display the date of the last modification instead of the initial creation date for each requirement.

  • Requirement Detail View: A detail view can now be opened for every requirement. The URLs for these individual views are designed to be shareable, meaning users with access permissions for the project can jump directly to a specific requirement.

  • Traceability: Support for parent-child relationships according to ISO 29148. These are represented by new status icons and color coding in both the requirement list and the network view.

  • Snapshots: Snapshots now only display comments added after the previous snapshot. This ensures that each snapshot contains only relevant new comments for each requirement, excluding older entries.

  • Team Update: Users with edit permissions now have the ability to inform their team about the latest changes in the project with a single click. A preview window allows you to include an additional message and select specific recipients from the group.

  • Change Visualization: Requirements with content changes since the last snapshot are now marked with an indicator and a change counter.
  • New Comment Indicators: If comments have been added since the last snapshot, they are now highlighted in the requirement list.
  • Landing Page: A visually appealing landing page has been introduced, featuring a detailed overview of the Engineering Toolbox Requirements Manager.

  • Improved Pagination: Pagination is now fully reactive to active filters and updates dynamically.

  • Structure Elements: Requirements can now be organized using structure elements. This supports hierarchical grouping. Filtering requirements by this structure is also available.
  • Restoration: Archived projects can now be restored.
  • Delete Function: Archived projects can now be permanently deleted.

Adjustments:

  • Archiving Confirmation: A safety prompt now appears when archiving a project.
  • Expanded Translations: English translations have been extended.
  • Sample Project Updates: The sample projects for "Welding Fixture" and "Robotic Welding Cell" have been updated to reflect the newly available structuring features.
