In this overview, you will find everything you need to know about the account types and the meaning of the various status logos of the Engineering Toolbox Requirements Manager (ETRM).


Our Membership Models

We offer three different types of membership, two of which are subscription-based. In terms of functionality, there is no difference between the three memberships. The distinction lies in whether you receive advertisements or not, and whether your group members see advertisements.

This structure allows you to test the ETRM free of charge for an unlimited period. Subscribing to a plan is only possible after registration.


1. Basic Membership

The basic version of the Engineering Toolbox is always free to use. No credit card information is required. This model is financed by advertisements.

2. Single Subscription

The Single subscription is designed for individual users who wish to work ad-free. With this subscription, you actively support the maintenance and further development of the platform.

3. Team Subscription

The Team subscription is the professional solution for collaboration. As a team owner, you can invite customers or partners into your ad-free groups. All ETRM members who are part of an active group with you will also work ad-free as long as you maintain a Team subscription.


The color of the logo in your profile indicates your current account type and whether you are benefiting from a group membership.

Special Case: Sponsoring by Teams

If your logo appears orange (#ff914d), you are in a sponsored group:

ETRM Single / Basic

This means you are a guest in a project owned by a Team owner. Within this environment, you enjoy all benefits such as ad-free usage, regardless of your own subscription status.


How to Subscribe

  1. Navigate to the "Subscription" tab in your profile.
  2. Choose between the Single or Team model.
  3. The transaction is processed securely via Stripe.
  4. After purchase, you will be redirected back and your status will be activated immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Yes. All subscriptions can be cancelled at any time at the end of the current billing period. You can find the link to the Stripe portal directly in your subscription settings.
