Account Management

Accounts

You can find the account management in the top menu bar, between your username and the logout button. The link to your account is only visible when you are logged in. The account management page consists of your user data on the left side and group management on the right side. The following image shows the user data section.

Core Functions

1. Subscription

Provides access to the options for using the Engineering Toolbox Requirements Manager ad-free.

2. Change Username

Here you can change your username, which is displayed to other users in your groups or projects. Changing this name has no effect on snapshots that have already been created. The names recorded there will remain unchanged.

3. Change Password

If you wish to change your password, you can do so within the account management section.

4. Delete Account

You have the option to delete your account. When you do this, your contributions to projects (requirements, comments) will be preserved but anonymized. Your email address will be removed from the user database, allowing you to create a new account with the same email address after the deletion is complete.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

No. To maintain the integrity and traceability of engineering projects, your requirements and comments are preserved. However, they are fully anonymized, meaning they can no longer be linked to your person or former email address.

No. Snapshots are "frozen" records of a project state for audit purposes. The username that was active at the time the snapshot was created remains stored within that specific record to ensure technical accountability.

Yes. Once your account is deleted, your email address is purged from our active user database. This allows you to register a fresh account using the same email address if you decide to return to ETRM later.
