Symbols in the Requirement List

Projects

In the requirement list, visual indicators help you keep track of the current project progress. These symbols immediately show you what has changed since the last Snapshot (the officially saved project state) or if new feedback is available.

Status Symbols (Snapshot Comparison)

These indicators only appear if at least one snapshot of the project has been created. They compare the current working state with the state of the last snapshot.

1. Deleted Requirements

Requirements that were present in the last snapshot but have since been deleted are marked with a red minus symbol.

Meaning: Deleted after the last snapshot.

2. New Requirements

Requirements that were newly added to the project after the last snapshot was created can be recognized by the blue plus symbol.

Meaning: Newly added since the last snapshot.

3. Content Changes

If a requirement's content has been edited (e.g., text changes in the title or description), this is signaled by an orange marker with a number.

5 Meaning: The number indicates how many content changes have been made since the last snapshot.

4. Parent/Child Status

Requirements can be related to each other, which is represented by various symbols.

Meaning: Parent requirement. There are requirements derived from this requirement.

Meaning: Child requirement. There are higher-level requirements.

Meaning: This requirement has both higher-level and lower-level requirements.

Meaning: Relationship symbols highlighted in blue indicate that the relationship has changed after the last snapshot.

Communication & Feedback

These symbols provide information about discussions and notes regarding a requirement.

1. Number of Comments

The speech bubble symbol generally shows how many total comments have been stored for a requirement.

3 Meaning: The number shows the total number of comments.

2. New Comments after Snapshot

A red dot signals that new comments have been added since the last snapshot. This helps you quickly identify new discussion contributions in an already agreed-upon state.

1 Meaning: The red dot means: "New comments available since the last snapshot."

Use Tooltips: If you hover your mouse pointer over a symbol in the requirement list, a short help text appears explaining the symbol's meaning in context.

Filtering: You can view the list of requirements including deleted ones. These will be marked as deleted but can still be inspected.
