Registration and Login

General

To use the Engineering Toolbox Requirements Manager, a personal user account is required. This ensures that your changes are correctly assigned in the audit trail and that your project data is protected.

Registration with Google Account

At the top of the registration page, you will find the option to sign in with your Google account. This significantly simplifies the registration process, as intermediate steps like the confirmation email are omitted.

Registration with email

The registration process is kept simple but follows strict security guidelines:

  1. Email Address: Provide a valid email address. This also serves as your unique login name. Each email address can be used for only one account.
  2. Username: You can freely choose a display name (username). > Important note for teams: Since usernames within the system do not necessarily have to be globally unique, we recommend using unique abbreviations or Firstname.Lastname (e.g., j.doe) within your team to avoid confusion in the project history and comments.
  3. Password: Choose a secure password according to the displayed guidelines.

Email Verification (Double-Opt-In)

To protect against misuse and to ensure that you have access to the specified mailbox, ETRM uses a verification process:

  • Sending the confirmation: Immediately after submitting the registration form, you will receive an automatically generated email.
  • Activation link: This email contains a confirmation link. Your account will only be activated once you click this link.
  • Didn't receive an email? Please check your spam folder if the message does not arrive within a few minutes.

Once your account is confirmed, you can log in at any time:

  • Use your email address as the username in the login field.
  • Enter your chosen password.
  • After a successful login, you will be taken directly to your personal dashboard or the project overview.
  • If you have forgotten your password, use the "Forgot password?" link below the login button.

Security Tip: Never share your login credentials with third parties. Since your role in the project (ADMIN, EDIT, etc.) is linked to your account, you are responsible for all actions logged under your name.
